Hiking near Dunbar Creek

With veteran spelunker/caver Norm Snyder, explored the rock outcropings that ring most of the high plateaus surrounding the Dunbar Creek area in the center of State Game Land Number 51. Used some of the GPS information in nearby geocaches by QuestMaster and Captain Crash. Beatiful day, not too hot and not too cold. Trail was about 5 miles. Some very nice outcropings with slot cracks filled with rodedendron at mile 1. Some magnificent boulevards of straight rock walls that ran a length of 200 feet with tree root systems decorating the rock walls at mile 1.5. Some high rocks with rock climbing pitches at mile 2.9. The Lost Crag area at mile 3.6, with numerous cracks, slots, terraces, panels, tunnels.
