Victim of Impulse Buying Syndrome

After an orienteering meet in a muddy park near Columbus, OH, was wearing my Salomon XA 3D XCR Gore-Tex shoes, and went walking around in the nearby town of Delaware, Ohio. In the very small downtown, packed with antique stores and coffee shops, was a outdoor gear store with a couple of Salomon shoes on the Rockwell-era old fashioned window display. ... and I said, Wow, those are my shoes there on display... and walked in.

Well, to make the story brief, it turned out they were having a 30% off on all their shoes, and most of the sizes left were just odd sizes. BUT there was an exception, a size 11 on a pair of Salomon XT Wings, a shoe that JUST came out three months ago, got a pretty good review on Runner's World Magazine, and that I had tried at an REI store, and thought of buying at the time but was a bit put off by the purchase price. So I bought them on the spot. Paid. Walked out. Walked a bit more of the downtown. Saw a few antique shops.
